About the Role
We’re looking for an experienced National Account Manager to join a UK based ingeredinet manufacturing business, to take ownership of a major key account within the confectionery market.
As a key member of the sales team, you will lead, manage, and plan key customer account activities to maximise profit, deliver growth, and develop long-term business relationships in line with the company’s strategic objectives. Your role will involve identifying and developing new customer, market, and product opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
- A key member of the Commercial team, you will lead and manage key customer accounts to maximise profitability and strategic growth.
- Ensure customer relationships are built and managed professionally with the objectives of retention and growth.
- Develop an in-depth understanding of the product range, the best use of products, and the strategic sale of those products.
- Devise strategic growth plans for key customers, aligned with the company’s overall strategic plan.
- Maintain, develop, and promote a positive corporate image and reputation with customers.
- Plan tactically to achieve agreed objectives and provide timely commercial information on markets, customers, and competitors.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with internal colleagues and externally with customers to effectively deliver tasks, product launches, and solutions.
- Plan, agree upon, and deliver an annual sales budget for specific accounts.
- Work closely with the Head of Sales and NPD Manager to develop new products.
- Represent the company at recognised trade organisations within the UK or EU, if required.
- Contribute to the strategic direction of the business by positively impacting the management and development of the Sales team.
The ideal candidate will have around 5 years of experience managing high-value accounts in the food industry, a proven track record of driving sales growth, and strong expertise in the confectionery or dairy sectors.
